You can reach the department on foot (15 minutes): When you arrive at Pavia’s railway station, exit from the back (you shouldn’t see a square, only a road). Take the road (via Brichetti) to the right (soon you pass a small bridge). After another 500 mt turn right in via Bassi at a roundabout.
If you want to take a bus, exit from the front (you should see a square) and take the n.3 bus direction “Tevere”, or exit from the back and take the n.6 bus direction “Cascina Pelizza”. Ask for the “via Bassi” stop. Schedules here.
To take a taxi, exit from the front: in the square there are some white taxis, or wait for one near the “taxi” sign.
By car:
Take the highway A7 Milano-Genova, and exit at “Bereguardo/Pavia Nord”. Take the freeway to Pavia and follow the signs towards “Ospedali Pavia” and “Tangenziale Nord”. Exit the freeway at “Pavia”, “Ospedali”, and turn left at the first roundabout. That is via Bassi.
